Trips of Olka Kot

That was a 4 months long incredible adventure! It was hard to decide on it and even harder to survive my first week there… But then — away we go! ;)

Our first big Asian trip with Nata after which it became crystal clear that life would never be the same again.

This was probably the most incredible of all our travels! 6 months, 7 countries, crazy thousands of kilometers of roads and so many impressions that it seems like there is not enough space inside to absorb and comprehend. I guess when we set off to this trip we didn't fully believe that we would be able to get through it to the end. But we've managed! And these memories will stay with us till the end of our days…

Haven't really yet catched our breaths from six months in South America we made it to our new amazing adventure through Transcaucasian countries! This trip was kind of unusual to us because we've made it with a whole bunch of friends some of which only joined certain parts of our route. It turned out to be lots of fun and with a fair share of wonderful madness! And we will all remember hitchhiking in the bucket of a tractor not far from the Russian-Georgian border for a very, very long time…

After our crazy half year in South America we knew for sure that we would be back to this part of the planet soon! And we've made it! And as it usually happens to us — to explore the entire region at once. The result was a 4-month trip around Mexico, all countries of Central America from Guatemala to Panama and around the mysterious freedom island of Cuba! After that, no less exciting Europe awaited us, starting with our beloved Barcelona. But this is a completely different journey…

Trip around Mexico, Central America and Cuba didn't seem enough for us — and from Cuba we've made it straight to Spain. This is where our new journey began — this time around Europe! We traveled a little along its west, a little east and a little in the center. Let's go!

Our first trip by car further than 100 km from St. Petersburg. We've walked around the city and also traveled around Veliky Novgorod, looking at Rurik’s Settlement and St. George’s Monastery. We drove to Novgorod along the Moscow highway, returned through Luga, driving towards St. Petersburg along the Kyiv highway.

Vyborg was our second city we've visited by car. The road to Vyborg was quite boring — we drove there along the Vyborg highway. Upon arrival, the first thing we did was go to the famous Mon Repos Park. Now most of it is drying out, but even the territory that is open to the public allows you to enjoy this place to the fullest. The walk through old Vyborg was quite interesting, despite the rainy weather. We returned back to St. Petersburg along the most picturesque coastal highway. Next time we'll take this route in both directions!

This is our first trip abroad, which we went on together with Max. For the first time we traveled to other countries by car. For the first time we sailed on a ferry, driving onto it, and not entering on foot as before. For the first time, we could afford to stay where we wanted. There were a lot of things we've done for the first time in this trip.

This was Max's test run on the rocks! Everything was as it should be — sleeping in a tent, eating over a fire, swimming in a cold lake, picking leaves from rowan and aspen trees. Max showed that he is a true born traveler, and instead of spending at least one night in a tent, we stayed for all three! Now Max clearly misses the rocks and wants to go back. Well, we will definitely be back soon)
