It's the whitest place I've ever been — like scary white — like stuck in a Twilight Zone episode set in a Connecticut Country Club. The setting, the buildings, the history — all beautiful, but OMG we were glad to get back to the real world.

It's a lovely mountain top town with medieval fortress and village. It is in the Alto Alentejo region. Oddly, your site does not include Alentejo as a region. It is a beautiful area with lavender and wine production, etc.
