Lübeck Cathedral
The Lübeck Cathedral is the first large brick church building on the Baltic Sea and, at almost 132 metres long, one of the longest brick churches. The Lübeck Cathedral was founded by Henry the Lion in 1173 and consecrated in 1247. The patron saints of the Protestant church are the saints John the Baptist and Blaise, Mary and Nicholas. Thr Cathedral was undergone to several reconstructions and totally destroyed in 1942. The current form was finished in 1982. inside the Cathedral, there are many decorations, including 17-metre-high Triumphal Cross, and church clock at the rood screen
