If you want to drink good beer (not from Russia) — try to find it in shops called «Красное и белое» (Red&White — Krasboe&Beloe), there you can find beer brought from Europe (look for bottles, where the composition is wright in English — otherwise you can buy the beer made in Russia, but with the European name — it is not good at all.
If you want to taste Russian beer — go to the craft bar and buy craft beer (DO NOT BUY the brands like Baltica, Obolon, Three bears or somethink like that).
In order to economize on transport in Moscow, by the card «Troika» — one trip will be cost 38 Rubles against 55, and you can replenish it in special ticket machine (you won't walk with many paper tickets).
