The Catholic sanctuary of Jasna Góra (lit., 'Mount Clearing') is located in Czestochowa, southern Poland. It houses a community of Pauline monks and is considered the main pilgrimage center in the country. Its importance is due to the fact that it has a very famous icon of the Virgin, the Virgin of Czestochowa, whose realization is attributed to the evangelist Lucas.
