The oldest trees on the planet. The bristlecone pine lives only between the elevation of 3000 to 3400 meters.(9800-11000 feet). The oldest tree found to date is named Methuselah and is more than 4850 years old. The environment is extremely harsh and dry. The trees only grow on the dolomitic lime that few other plans/trees can survive on.
