St Andrew’s Cathedral
St Andrew’s Cathedral is an Episcopal cathedral, without spires. Spires were originally built but the towers started to sink and they had to be removed. The tower nearest the river holds 11 bells and there is a minstrel gallery above the entrance which joins the two towers. There is a Lady chapel with vestry behind adjoining the nave.
It’s worth going round the back to the Cathedral tea rooms behind. Run for the benefit of the cathedral it does decent soup and sandwiches alongside a shop.
