You've heard the expression «Nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.» Togo was a great place to live, but it has none of the classic African tourist attractions. No wide veldt with herds of wildebeest. No flamboyantly dressed dancers. No elephants or lions; not even that many monkeys. BUT the Togolese people are very friendly and accommodating. The climate is--by African standards--comfortable. Prices are low. The brewery was founded by the Germans. Great place to live, not very interesting to visit.
