Absolutely beautiful but too expensive for me to live here.
I ended up moving here after visiting 3 times. I didn’t think I was going to move here because of the dark winters, but then I traveled some more and realized that Sweden was the best country for me to live in.
Visited Krakow during an 8-hour layover. It's charming, has a lot of character, and the food was quite good.
London was fun for 3 days because there were so many things to see, but I would never live there. It was a crowded hellhole. Stonehenge and Windsor are cool to see. However, you MUST book everything in advance because of the amount of tourists that have come here due to the Bridgerton show and everyone's weird obsession with the royal family.
I lived in Prague for 2 months as a digital nomad. I found the city quite dynamic, and it was generally a good place for expats as there were always events to make friends at. The architecture is absolutely stunning and Czech food is pretty good. I would have lived here if the rents weren't so high and the city wasn't so crowded.
Came here in July '23 and it was a terrible decision. I enjoyed Istanbul's charming architecture and great food, but my god, the scorching heat was too much. And the never-ending traffic.
I returned to Sweden for a second time and lived there from October to January. Although I still think it's a beautiful, clean, and organized country, I found it to be extremely lonely and isolating, especially in winter. I wasn't fond of the constant darkness, and I didn't really connect well with the locals, no matter how many social events I went to. It's not a country I would choose to settle down in. FYI, we went in the winter to test ourselves with the darkness, because spring, summer, and fall are easy to get through. My advice: visit Scandinavia in the summer.
Beautiful country, but not for everyone, especially if you are prone to exhaustion from overstimulation from the complex train system, technology, and anime culture. It was fun learning Japanese history.
I was in Israel for a 12-hour layover in April 2023 and spent it in Jerusalem. It was educational, but too crowded with tourists to enjoy the religious sites.
