The drive to the location is as interesting as the old building. Soumela Monastery is just over the hills from Alikinos — 17 km as the crow flies and 29 km by road.

The drive up to the Monastery was beautiful. The building itself has been repaired a bit outside and is locked. We took photos through a window.
