Information for independent travel to Basel

Only spent an overnight hear mid journey stayed in the Hotel Schweizerhof. nice hotel very friendly staff. I ate in the bar, great service from a member of bar staff, dressed as a banana for some unknown reason. staff were all very atentive, i will stay again

Enjoyed sightseeing there although at the time I could only admire without any historical knowledge of what I was seeing.
