We are going to Cairngorms Park. We want not to take a lot of cash.
Do shops / cafes, etc. accept card payment? Or mostly cash?

Since the COVID pandemic, many places that formerly only took cash now take card payment. In fact, I haven't really needed to carry any cash for the past couple of years.

Use Visa or MasterCard debit or credit cards. Amex and Diners Club are not popular in Scotland due to them using a different banking system and charging higher retailer fees.

Card. You don't really need a lot of cash anywhere in Europe anymore.

Most places take a card, but you should bring some small bills for small shops and tipping.
